Privacy policy
Last updated 14 September 2026
This policy explains what happens to the media you submit to Verity (vtyai.app), what we record about your visit, and who else is involved. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
The files you check
When you upload a file or paste a link, the media is sent to our servers and passed to the AI analysis service that produces your verdict. We do not build a public library of submissions, we do not sell them, and we do not use them to train our own models.
Media submitted for analysis is processed to produce your result and is not retained as a stored file afterwards. If you are signed in, we keep a record of the check itself — the date, the file name, and the verdict — so that your history and usage count work. That record contains no copy of the media. Signed-out checks are not tied to any account.
Please do not submit material you are not entitled to share, and be aware that submitting highly sensitive content to any online analysis tool — ours included — involves sending it over the internet to a third-party processor.
Accounts and payments
You can use the checker without an account. If you create one, we store your email address and the state of your subscription or check packs.
Payments are handled by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's systems and never reach our servers — we receive only the subscription status, the plan, the renewal date and a customer reference. Stripe's own privacy notice governs what they hold.
Advertising
Free pages carry advertising supplied by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads and measure them, and may use information about your visits to this and other sites to show ads relevant to you.
You can control how Google personalises advertising at My Ad Center, and read how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com. Third-party vendors may also be listed in Google's ad settings. A Pro subscription removes advertising from your experience entirely.
Separately, we count our own ad placements — how many times a slot was seen and whether it was filled — so we can tell which parts of the site support the free checks. Those counts are aggregate and contain no personal details.
Analytics
We record basic page views: the page path, the referring site if your browser sends one, and whether the device is broadly a phone, tablet or desktop. We do not use third-party analytics trackers for this, and we do not build advertising profiles from it. It exists so we know which guides people actually read.
Cookies and local storage
We use browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember small preferences, such as whether you have dismissed the install prompt. Advertising cookies, where present, are set by Google rather than by us. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings; doing so may sign you out.
Your choices
- Use it anonymously. The checker works signed out. Nothing is linked to you.
- See what we hold. Your account page lists your plan, your usage and your check history.
- Have it deleted. Email hello@vtyai.app from your registered address and we will delete your account and its associated records. Payment records that we are required to keep for accounting stay with Stripe.
- Turn off personalised ads. Through Google's ad settings, linked above, or by subscribing to Pro.
Children
Verity is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of the page. Questions about any of it can go to hello@vtyai.app or through our contact page. Our terms of use cover the rules for using the service.
