VERITY

Terms of use

Last updated 14 September 2026

By using Verity at vtyai.app you agree to what follows. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What the service is

Verity analyses a photo, video or audio clip and returns an opinion about whether it appears to be AI-generated, altered, or unremarkable. Checks are free and unlimited. An optional Pro subscription removes advertising.

What a verdict is not

This matters more than anything else on this page. A Verity result is an automated estimate, not a determination of fact, and it can be wrong in both directions: authentic media is sometimes flagged, and convincing fakes sometimes pass.

Our verdicts are not forensic evidence, not an expert opinion, and not suitable as the sole basis for any decision that affects someone — legal proceedings, journalism, employment, insurance claims, academic misconduct findings, or public accusations. Do not present a Verity result as proof that a named person faked something. If a decision carries real consequences, obtain a qualified forensic examination. The reasoning behind each verdict, and its known weak points, are set out on our about page.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may restrict or withdraw access where these rules are broken.

Your content and ours

You keep all rights in the media you submit. You grant us only the permission needed to process that file in order to produce your result. Our handling of submissions is described in the privacy policy. The site itself — its text, guides, design and name — remains ours.

Subscriptions and payment

Availability

The service is provided as is. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, particular accuracy rates, or that detection will keep pace with every new generation model. We may change or discontinue features.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on a verdict, from unavailability of the service, or from any indirect or consequential damage. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when they last changed, and continued use after a change means you accept it. Questions go to hello@vtyai.app or the contact page.
